Are you struggling with anxiety, feeling like you're never good enough, or reacting intensely to situations that don't seem to warrant it? You're feeling stuck, frequently reflecting on the past, or weighed down by guilt and shame. Despite your best efforts, nothing seems to work, leaving you feeling lost, confused, and overwhelmed. If any of this resonates with you, I may be the right therapist for you. By exploring your trauma and developing skills to manage your anxieties, we will discover new ways to regain control, build confidence, and experience greater peace in your life.

After working with me, clients often feel a deep sense of clarity; like they’ve uncovered answers within themselves they didn’t know were there. I will help guide you through the process of understanding, finding balance in the gray areas, equipped with meaningful tools, and healing from past wounds. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, gentle, and grounded in helping you feel safe and in control, all while challenging you to your greatest potential. Working together, you can expect a space where you’re encouraged to explore without judgment, where difficult emotions become manageable, and where lasting growth and healing are possible.

I recognize this first step is the hardest, which is why I offer a free 15-minute consultation call. Let's connect, discuss how we can work together to help you reach your fullest potential, and see if we are a good fit!

Katie's Bio:

My main objective is to support you in understanding your current emotional struggles, addressing the past that is holding you back, and empowering you to make positive changes for a fulfilling life. I value genuine human connections and see myself as a compassionate partner in your healing journey. In our sessions, I create a safe space for you to be yourself, knowing your voice and choices are respected. My approach is rooted in the belief that the therapy space belongs to you, allowing the freedom to navigate your own path. Whether you're ready to explore certain issues or prefer to take your time, I respect your comfort level while gently encouraging your growth.

I specialize in trauma, complicated grief, depression, anxiety, trust and intimacy issues, and self-esteem challenges, offering support through individual therapy, couples counseling, and pre-marital counseling. As a trauma-informed and eclectic therapist, I tailor treatment plans to meet your unique needs, drawing from modalities like Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Attached-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

My expertise includes inner child work, focusing on how it impacts self-image, intimacy, addiction recovery, and emotional well-being. With valuable experience in clinical and non-clinical roles within educational settings, including high schools and universities, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I'm an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) in California, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina, and an Associate Partner Trauma Therapist (APTT). Additionally, I’m pursuing certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

Originally from Florida, I now call Greater Los Angeles, California home. Outside of therapy sessions, you’ll often find me enjoying an iced vanilla latte, exploring Topanga Canyon with my husband and two dogs, Sadie and Bode, and indulging in my guilty pleasures: true-crime documentaries and Bravo TV.
